Description

He is the author of numerous books (see list below) and several hundred articles in scientific journals in France and abroad. Each year he directs Le Déméter (IRIS editions), a book of prospective analyses on agriculture, food and rural areas in the world. The 2023 edition of Déméter is entitled "Agriculture et alimentation: la durabilité à l'épreuve des faits". In 2023, he published Géopolitique du blé (Armand Colin) and Géopolitique de l'agriculture, with Pierre Blanc (Eyrolles Éditions). --------- At IRIS, Sébastien Abis is developing expertise on the geopolitics of food security and agriculture in the world. He also works on the evolution of French power, sovereignty issues in Europe and the dynamics of globalization. He is also specialized in the Mediterranean/Middle East region. Recently, he has been exploring the maritime domain to analyze the geopolitical dimension of the oceans.
